SC100 Smart Connect Hub

What is it?

The SC100 Smart Connect Hub is a powerful embedded compute module powered by a single core i.MX6 processor including a fully embedded linux OS. This runs proprietary middleware – iSocket to provide control of the extensive IO and and connected peripheral. Device applications can run either on the SC100 or any network connected client.

ePoint’s Smart Connect Sc100 is a multi-function product intended for application in numeros vertical markets including retail, kiosk, smart vending, gaming and general IOT automation and control. SC100 combines ePoint’s smart IO control technology with a powerful 32 bit ARM processor (NXP i.MX6) to provide a standalone solution combining an eLinux operating system with extensive IO and RF interfaces.

SC100 is an ideal solution for emerging IoT applications, as it provides a full compliment of networking interfaces including LAN, WiFi, BLE and 4G options together with extensive IO.

Typical SC100 SmartConnect Hub implementation

This example shows an SC100 SmartConnect computing platform used in a self service payment kiosk application. It illustrates how it is possible to connect best of breed devices into a single solution with ePoint’s powerful iSocket middleware running natively on the SC100. The application can reside remotely and communicate with Epoint Pay over LAN or WiFi using iSocket web sockets API.
